Blackjack vs Roulette

Blackjack is a game that is played with 1 to 6 decks of cards and the objective is to get a hand as close to 21 without going over. In the case of a draw the bet will go back to the player and if he wins he will get a paid 1:1.

Roulette, a game that is named after a French word that means small wheel, has players bet on a wide choice of colored numbers. The player can place a bet on a number, a range of numbers, the colors red or black, or whether the number is odd or even.

In online casino blackjack, players are up against a computerized dealer. The dealer will be dealt one or two cards, which will depend on what rules are being used, the player will be dealt two cards in each box. This is called the initial deal. Both the player's cards are dealt face up; one of the dealer's cards will be dealt face up.

In Roulette the dealer spins a wheel in one direction, and then a ball is spun in the opposite direction around a tilted circular track running around the circumference of the wheel. In the game of blackjack face cards have a value of 10. The number cards, 2-10, are given their face value and aces are valued at either 1 or 11, depending on what suits the player best.

Based on the face up cards of the initial deal the player has two basic options. He can either "HIT" and receive another card to add to his two face up cards or he can "STAND", passing on the turn to the next box. In the game of roulette, the player buys chips of different colors, so his bets do not get mixed up.

In blackjack the player can keep playing the game until he is satisfied or he loses the game. When all the players have decided what they want to play, the dealer will either flip his second card or will deal himself a second card. If the dealer's total is less than 17 the house will automatically hit. If the dealer's total is 17 or higher, the house will always stand.

In roulette the dealer will start spinning the ball, and seconds before the ball will drop on the slots the dealer will call no more bets. After he says this no player can bet anew or change his bets. In the game of blackjack once the hand is over, the dealer will move around the table to each position in turn, either paying winners or collecting the chips from the losing players. After the dealer has paid the player, the player can remove his chips from the circle, and place his next bet.

In roulette the dealer places the dolly on the winning number on the roulette table and clears all the losing bets. Once this is done the player can start placing their new bets while the croupier pays the winners. The winners are those bets that are on or around the number that comes up. Also the bets on the outside of the layout win if the winning number is represented.
